Well, you made it. And I'm glad you did!

Now what do you say we all work together to make 2025 even more!

Closing Out 2024, Welcoming 2025

As we bid farewell to 2024 and embrace the opportunities of 2025, let’s step forward with a mindset of empowerment and purpose. Why now though, reality is, you can do this every day. It just seems as though everyone looks for one date to start, one “when this happens I will make this happen” to start. You know what happens when we wait for that “one” moment to start? We NEVER START.

Make this the year of starting now, you’re never too old, you’re never too young, you’re never too broken to just start. Even if you’re late. Start.

And in 2025, if we only do one thing, what if we decide to do that “thing” with purpose.

With the mindset and thinking like it’s nobody’s fault, because it’s not. Act like it’s your responsibility. Because it is!

Take full ownership of your life—your circumstances, your actions, and their consequences. Live with the understanding that how you choose to live truly matters, in both the grand moments and the small ones, because it does.

When there’s work to be done, channel your energy into doing it. Let go of blame, anger, retribution, or envy; these only sap your spirit. Instead, focus on what you can build, fix, and improve.

Face reality as it is—not as you wish it could be or might have been. Meet it with clarity and determination, doing what needs to be done without hesitation.

The details matter, and every choice you make carries weight. Accept the details for what they are, and let your actions align with your vision for what’s possible. (because everything and anything is possible!)

This is your life. Be the person who always takes responsibility for whatever affects it. Be the person who approaches each day with gratitude, purpose, and resolve to make it better.

Together, let’s bring new richness into the year ahead. Here’s to a 2025 filled with meaningful actions, heartfelt connections, and boundless possibilities.

A Dance of Fire and Ice

This week, I finished a piece that has been both a labor of love and a quiet internal struggle. It’s a 15x30" canvas, a space where flowing blues dance and ripple across the surface, their movement calm yet alive. Every curve and wave was crafted with the smallest brush, each stroke intentionally slow, building layer upon layer of tranquil energy.

And then, there’s the red. It cuts through the calm like fire—sharp and striking, full of life and intensity. Is it anger, or is it passion? Perhaps it’s both. That’s for you to decide. Art has a way of meeting us where we are, reflecting back what we bring to it.

But what about me, the artist? I hesitated to finish this piece, as I often do with larger works. There’s something about that final stroke that feels daunting. Once it’s done, it’s no longer an evolving creation—it’s just there. It’s vulnerable, exposed to be seen, felt, and yes, possibly even rejected.

I sometimes question why I create pieces like this. Is it self-expression? A search for meaning? A conversation I don’t yet fully understand? These questions linger, yet here it is, shared with you now.

This piece has been both an exploration and a release. The flowing blues remind me of the calm I long for, while the fiery red challenges me to confront the energy I hold inside—whether it’s frustration, passion, or something else entirely.

Art is a dialogue. So here it is, ready to start the conversation. I hope you find a piece of yourself in it, just as I found pieces of myself while creating it.

Thank you for sharing in this moment with me. Here's to the beauty of creating—and the courage to let it be seen.

A 2025 Wish For You

Opening the Creative Door in 2025

As we step into a new year, I want to share a wish for you: Outside of the obvious, that 2025 be a great year for your personal growth and exploration both internally and with adventures, I hope you also find your creativity in 2025. Whether you’ve been nurturing it for years or you’re just discovering its spark, creativity has a way of transforming the way we see the world—and ourselves.

From watercolors to crocheting, photography to baking…

Recently, I began exploring digital art. It’s been an exciting shift, adding a new layer to my artistic journey. Digital creativity has its own magic—it’s portable, flexible, and always ready to bring an idea to life, wherever inspiration strikes. It’s a medium that meets you where you are, whether you’re on the go or nestled in your creative space.

That said, the real brush strokes will always hold my heart—the texture of paint meeting canvas, the imperfections, and the connection to something deeply physical. But digital art has shown me that creativity is boundless. It’s not about choosing one path but discovering the joy in all of them.

So, how will you open your creative door in 2025? Maybe it’s painting, writing, photography, music, crafting, or even cooking. Maybe it’s something digital, a space where you can experiment freely and see where it leads.

Creativity doesn’t need to be perfect, planned, or profound. It just needs to be yours. Take a moment to think about what stirs your imagination or brings you joy—and take the first step toward it.

Here’s to a year of discovery, creativity, and expression. Let’s make 2025 a canvas for whatever inspires us.

What will you create?

I’m glad you’re here and that you made it through 2024… Let’s go and let’s grow!
