Finding Beauty Amid the Chaos
I feel as if that’s something a mother would tell their child. “find beauty in the chaos little Johnny”…
And here we are, in a world that often feels like it's unraveling, Where pausing to marvel at the stars can seem almost wrong. Harboring with it, a feeling of guilt.
When the news is filled with crisis after crisis, and our personal histories carry the weight of betrayal or hardship, how can we possibly allow ourselves to find the world beautiful?
And yet, there is power in wonder.
To wonder at the beauty. Beauty that at times might be found in the forgotten, the battered, the broken.
Wonder is not an escape from reality—it’s a liberation practice. It reminds us that we are more than the tragedies we endure. It is an act of reclaiming our humanity, of asserting that even in the darkest times, beauty remains an anchor.
Looking up at the stars, tracing their quiet brilliance across the night sky, connects us to something greater than ourselves. It reminds us of our origins—formed from the same cosmic dust—and it offers a moment of stillness, a reprieve.
These small acts of wonder ground us, reminding us that beauty is not frivolous; it is essential.
So, take the time to pause. To marvel. To let the beauty of the world, however fleeting, remind you of the expansive nature of life. In doing so, we find not only solace but also strength—the kind that carries us through the fires of the world and allows us to imagine something better on the other side.
Because beauty, after all, is where we begin. And it is where we find our way back.
Let this be your reminder: wonder is not only allowed; it is necessary.
A Gentle Reminder
This season, as lights twinkle and celebrations fill the air, let us remember that not everyone’s heart feels light. Many are quietly fighting battles we cannot see—grappling with loss, enduring holidays without loved ones, or wrestling with darkness that seems almost too heavy to bear.
To those carrying these unseen burdens: you are stronger than you realize. Every moment you endure, every step you take, is a testament to that strength. Even on days when the weight feels unbearable, your resilience shines brighter than you know.
And while today may feel hard, tomorrow needs you. The world is better for your presence, and the story you’re writing isn’t finished yet. Hope, even if it feels distant, is waiting on the horizon.
For now, take this as a small encouragement: You are not alone, and your fight matters. Your strength inspires more than you can imagine, and the light you bring will find its way through the darkness. We see you, we honor you, and we’re holding space for your journey.
Keep going. Tomorrow is waiting, and it’s brighter with you in it.
7 Words To Change A Persons Day
Stepping out of your comfort zone can feel intimidating. But what if I told you that just seven simple words could brighten someone’s day—maybe even change it? You just have to get the nerve to say it. To someone you don’t know. To be unaware of what their reaction might just be. But to do it for no other reason than lifting someone up.
Ya see, lately, I’ve been trying something new. Whenever the opportunity arises, I look at a stranger and say, “I hope you have the best day!” It’s a small gesture, but the impact? Tremendous.
The responses are heartwarming: a smile spreading across a weary face, someone standing a little taller, or a surprised sparkle in their eyes as they carry those words forward. It’s as if, for a moment, the world feels kinder, lighter, more connected.
And here’s the magic: it doesn’t just change their day—it changes mine too. That tiny leap of vulnerability to share a kind word fills me with joy and reminds me of the power we all hold to uplift each other.
So, I invite you to step out of your comfort zone and try it. Just once to start, at the grocery store, on a walk, or wherever you find yourself, offer someone those seven words: “Hey, I hope you have the best day!” You never know what kind of difference it might make—for them and for you.
Because sometimes, all it takes to spark a little light in the world is a moment of shared kindness. Let’s make it a habit.
Keep Shining, because I believe in you,
~Tim
