The Season of Renewal: Let’s Welcome Spring with Open Arms

It's your grow time and go time!

OH! Hey there! Welcome back!

It does seem as if it’s here. The time has arrived!

Spring is officially knocking at our doors, and frankly, I think we should just throw the welcome matt out and leave said doors unlocked.

After months of bundling up and bracing ourselves against the chill, those days where you walk out the door and are brutally assaulted by the 20 degree temps. Now though, the world is finally shifting—days are stretching a little longer, the sun is climbing a little higher, and temperatures are (dare I say it?) sneaking up ever so slightly. If that isn’t an invitation to go with change, I don’t know what is.

There’s something about spring that practically begs us to refresh, renew, and maybe even reinvent. It’s the season of trading in heavy coats for lighter layers, swapping out hot cocoa for iced chai lattes, and making room for fresh blooms and fresh perspectives. It’s not just “a” time, but “THE” time when possibilities feel endless, and the energy in the air is downright contagious.

So, let’s take our cues from nature. Join me as I step into the light—literally and figuratively. Shaking off the dust, opening the windows, and welcoming in all the newness this season has to offer. Whether it’s trying something bold, sprucing up your space, or simply taking a moment to savor the warmth on your skin, this is the time to lean into change.

Spring is here, and so is the chance to start fresh. Let’s make the most of it.

With sunshine and good vibes, I believe in you,

~Tim

P.S. I would like to make a surprise purchase of groceries for a family. Simply by standing in line behind them and then taking care of the purchase. I need your help though, can you donate to make this happen? If we all chipped in just $5-10 we could not only do this for one family but maybe even 2-3 or more. I captured this image years ago in my studio, to this day, it’s still one of my favorite images of flowers I’ve ever grabbed.

The Power of Making It Through Winter & Welcoming Spring

Winter has a way of testing us. More times than we may even like.

The shorter days, the frigid air, and the slower pace can sometimes feel like an endurance test, a season where we hunker down and push through. But here we are—we made it. And now, spring is here (for the most part), stretching its arms wide, inviting us into longer days, warmer air, and an open land of opportunity. This is a hug I’ve been waiting for since, well, late October…

There’s something so freakin' magical about this time of year. The world around us wakes up—buds bloom, birds sing, and everything seems to stretch toward the sun. Growth is happening everywhere, a gentle reminder that we, too, are capable of blossoming. And it’s in this blossoming I love taking in the energy that so many carry with them. Standing taller, walking with a different pace, smiles brighter…

But welcoming change doesn’t have to be overwhelming. We don’t need to reinvent ourselves overnight just because the season shifts. Instead, we can embrace even the smallest of shifts, tiny adjustments that add up in ways we might not even notice at first.

Maybe it’s as simple as letting in more sunlight—opening the curtains first thing in the morning and soaking in those extra minutes of golden light. Maybe it’s spending more time outside, taking a slow walk, breathing in fresh air, and reconnecting with the world beyond our walls. Or perhaps it’s a fresh perspective—swapping out old routines, introducing new habits, or simply choosing to see possibility where there once was routine.

Spring isn’t demanding us to make these world shifting changes... It’s simply inviting us to shift, to step forward, even if just a little. Welcoming in what we can offer.

And in those small steps? Hidden in there, is where we find the power to redirect our lives in ways we can’t yet predict. A little extra movement, a few moments of stillness in nature, a conscious decision to lean into optimism—these shifts strengthen us, making us more resilient, more capable, and more prepared for whatever comes next.

So, as the days grow longer and the sun climbs higher, consider this your gentle invitation to welcome in change, however small. Open your heart to the possibilities this season brings. Lean into the fresh air, the blooming landscapes, and the undeniable energy of renewal. You’ve made it through winter—stronger, wiser, and ready for what’s ahead.

Call To Action With Kindness - We Need You

Join Us in Spreading Unexpected Kindness! 🌿💛

Imagine standing in line at the grocery store, worrying about how to stretch every dollar—and then, someone steps in and covers your total. That feeling of relief, of unexpected kindness, is something we want to create—with your help.

We're starting a Grocery Giving Fund, where every dollar donated—whether it's $1, $5, $10, or more—will go directly toward paying for a stranger’s groceries when they least expect it. We’ll be out in the community, covering grocery bills for families who could use a little extra help, and capturing these moments in photos and videos so you can see exactly how your generosity is making a difference.

Because kindness isn’t just about big gestures—it’s about showing up in small ways that mean the world to someone else. Want to be part of this movement of everyday generosity? Click below to donate whatever feels right, and let’s turn small contributions into life-changing moments.

Spring, Sprang, Sprung…

As the days grow longer and warmer, it's the perfect opportunity to refresh your home and embrace the vibrant energy of spring. Question is, “how?”. Let’s be honest, we aren’t all good at everything. I know you’re sitting there thinking “I am and I can do everything”… And while I do believe in you and your strength, just in case you need a little direction. Here are some ways to bring spring a little closer into the home this year. Some a little more in depth, some easy to bring in, all worth the energy.

Introduce Fresh Plants and Flowers

Bringing nature indoors can instantly uplift your home's ambiance. Consider incorporating seasonal blooms like tulips, daffodils, and lilacs to add cheerful colors and pleasant fragrances. For a creative touch, design a vertical garden using hanging planters or wall-mounted pots to maximize space and greenery.

Craft Scented Sachets

Enhance your home's aroma by creating DIY sachets filled with dried flowers, herbs, and spices such as lavender, chamomile, rose petals, cinnamon, and citrus peels. Place these sachets in drawers, closets, or hang them in various rooms to enjoy a continuous, subtle fragrance.

Refresh and Organize Your Space

Spring is synonymous with renewal and bringing in new energy. Thus making it an ideal time to declutter and reorganize. Start by clearing out closets and storage areas, donating or recycling items you no longer need. Use that “simple” thought process that if you haven’t needed “X” in 6 months, you probably don’t need it at all, and let it go. If it’s something another person may use though, attempt to give it away on sites like Facebook market place. Just helping to not fill up the landfill with all the things.

Cultivate a Kitchen Herb Garden

Bring the freshness of spring into your kitchen by growing a herb garden on your windowsill or countertop. Plant herbs like basil, mint, cilantro, rosemary, and thyme in small pots, offering both aesthetic appeal and convenient access to fresh ingredients for your dinner creations. Is there anything better than plucking that fresh basil to use on that pizza? Or rubbing your fingers across the fresh rosemary, releasing one of the best evaaahhh fragrances? Adorn Your Home with Seasonal Decorations

Celebrate spring by decorating your home with seasonal accents. Hang a spring wreath on your front door, display painted eggs or all sorts of bunnies indoors, run to home goods and grab a few spring themed pillow to throw around.

Engage in DIY Projects

Embrace the spirit of spring by creating your own prints. Have the kids create their own egg art using the download below. Or color in the already made lined egg. Press flowers in a clear glass frame. Grab some water colors and create your own framable art.

Create a Seasonal Tablescape (I believe this is one of my mother’s favorite things to do for any reason)

Design a charming tablescape for your spring gatherings or just because. Start with a light-colored tablecloth and arrange fresh flowers and fruits like citrus, or potted plants, and use spring-themed dinnerware to reflect the beauty of the season (just don’t buy it from target), making each meal a festive occasion.

Assemble Spring Terrariums

This is a fun thing to do and when you make them right, you never need to touch them again and they turn into year round terrariums. Introduce miniature indoor gardens by creating spring terrariums. Choose glass containers like mason jars or geometric terrariums, layer them with pebbles, activated charcoal, potting soil, and moss, and add small plants such as succulents or ferns. These terrariums serve as captivating decor pieces that bring a touch of nature indoors. And it’s truly magic when you create an indoor eco system that may only need a little water once or twice a year. That last one I created stayed for 5 years but didn’t survive a move.

There are so many wants to bring spring home. Choose once, choose them all. More than anything, embrace this moment of growth.

Please Don’t Forget To Help

Helping strangers and homeless individuals during this time of transition from winter to spring is a powerful way to spread kindness and offer support. It may seem odd, the days are warmer, there’s more light. They need less help, right?

Unfortunately this isn’t true. While warmer weather brings relief from the harsh cold, it also presents new challenges, like unpredictable temperatures, seasonal allergies, and the need for hydration. Here are some meaningful ways you can help:

1. Donate Seasonal Essentials

  • As people pack away their winter clothes, consider donating gently used jackets, hoodies, and long-sleeve shirts to shelters or community centers.

  • Spring rains can make staying dry difficult. Donating ponchos, umbrellas, and waterproof shoes can be incredibly helpful.

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats can protect against increasing sun exposure.

2. Provide Hygiene and Comfort Items

  • Many shelters struggle to keep hygiene kits stocked. Consider assembling small kits with deodorant, soap, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products.

  • Allergy season can be tough. Offer tissues, antihistamines, or even reusable face masks.

  • Bottled water and electrolyte packets help people stay hydrated as temperatures rise.

3. Support Local Shelters and Outreach Programs

  • Volunteer at local shelters, soup kitchens, or food pantries, as demand remains steady even after winter.

  • Consider donating funds or supplies to organizations that provide transitional housing, job training, or mental health support.

  • Offer to help with community gardens or urban farming projects that provide fresh food for those in need.

4. Offer Food and Small Acts of Kindness

  • Keep easy-to-carry snacks like granola bars, nuts, and dried fruit in your bag to hand out when you encounter someone in need.

  • If you’re grabbing a coffee or meal, consider buying an extra one for someone who could use it.

  • A simple conversation, smile, or acknowledgment can brighten someone’s day and remind them they are seen and valued.

5. Advocate for Long-Term Solutions

  • Support policies that provide more housing, mental health care, and job training for the homeless population.

  • Raise awareness about local resources and services that can help people transition out of homelessness.

  • Organize or participate in community initiatives that focus on long-term solutions, such as affordable housing programs.

6. Be Mindful and Compassionate

  • As the season changes, so do people's needs. Simply asking, “Is there anything you need today?” can make a difference.

  • Avoid judgment and instead lead with kindness. Everyone’s journey is different, and even small gestures of care can have a big impact.

Spring is a season of renewal and growth—let’s extend that spirit by uplifting those who need it most. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to make the world a little brighter for someone else. 🌷💛
