Happiness is a warm puppy....
Charles Schulz, the magical creator of Peanuts, had a unique way of distilling profound truths into simple, everyday moments. Through the eyes of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang, he taught us about resilience, joy, and the beauty of life’s little imperfections. Today, more than ever, Schulz’s wisdom offers a much-needed reminder to seek happiness in the simple things, embrace our quirks, and find comfort in the connections that ground us.
In a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected, we are often only slowed down by people we don’t “know”, stories that don’t affect our lives, games that really have no bearing on who we are. Strangers are vying for our attention at every swipe of the device.
Through all of that, the heartfelt simplicity of Schulz's message serves as a gentle call to slow down and appreciate the moments that truly matter. As we navigate the complexities of modern life, it’s worth taking a page from Peanuts and remembering that happiness can indeed be found in a warm puppy, a good friend, or even a quiet moment of reflection.
And in taking his words for this newsletter, I dedicate this one to exploring those small joys, finding meaning in the everyday, and celebrating the wisdom that transcends generations.
And this truly could be one of the most important things you read this year.
You don’t have to actually answer the questions, just think about them, read it straight through, and you’ll get the point. (On a side note, if you can actually answer the first 6 questions without much thought, I need some of your brain juice)
The following is from Charles Schulz.
Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
Name the last fine Heisman trophy winners.
Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
Name the last half dozen Academy Award Winners for best actor and actress.
Name the lat decade’s worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. And these are no second rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish…. Achievements are forgotten. Acolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here’s one more quiz. See how you do on this one.
List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
Name 5 people who taught you something worthwhile.
Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
Think of 5 people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the one with the most credentials, the most money, the most awards. They simply are the ones who care the most.
Keep Shining,
~Tim
A New Piece - No. 56
I'm excited to share my latest piece, a 12x18" acrylic on canvas that truly captures the spirit of a day when my energy was scattered in every direction. The colors in this work are anything but uniform, reflecting the unpredictable and dynamic nature of that day. Each one chosen instinctively, mirroring the emotional ebb and flow I experienced—a vivid journey through contrasting moods and untamed thoughts. The colors always decide at once, while the piece may actually day days / weeks to complete.
This piece stands out not just for its bold color choices, but also for its exclusivity. It’s a one-of-a-kind original, and no prints will ever be produced. That means the person who acquires it will own the only version that exists, forever holding a snapshot of an unfiltered, chaotic moment in time.
If you're looking to add a truly unique and expressive artwork to your collection, this piece is now available. Don’t miss the chance to claim it as your own!
